Join our team as a Technician supporting the deployment, integration, testing, and operation of high-density AI/HPC electrical infrastructure and pilot systems. This role will work across rack-level power systems, pilot/pre-production unit deployments, lab infrastructure, and field installations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-moving engineering environments, bringing a blend of electrical infrastructure experience, mechanical aptitude, a debug/troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to work in evolving engineering environments. This is not a traditional facilities-only or production-only role: it bridges electrical infrastructure, HPC/data center deployment, pilot/pre-production systems, and engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rack-level power integration for AI/HPC systems
• Build and modify rack power distribution systems
• Perform cable routing, wire mapping, and documentation
• Support mechanical/electrical integration within racks
• Assist with rack deployments at local and remote sites
• Coordinate with data center / colo operators during installs
• Support pilot/pre-production builds transitioning from engineering into deployment
• Assist with system bring-up, debugging, and validation testing
• Help develop repeatable build and test processes
• Identify integration issues prior to production scaling
• Support HW engineering teams during iterative development

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with electrical theory, power systems, including 3-phase power distribution (208V/480V)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation
• Proficiency in cable management and structured wiring
• Experience in prototype, pilot, or New Product Introduction (NPI) environments
• Hardware integration, debug support, and a strong troubleshooting mindset
• Proficient with hand tools and mechanically inclined
• Basic electronics soldering skills
• Takes ownership of work and demonstrates good problem solving skills

Enhanced Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience supporting data center, HPC, or critical power infrastructure deployments
• Experience with prototype, pilot, NPI (New Product Introduction), or pre-production hardware builds
• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial controls, instrumentation, or automation systems
• Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, or integrating complex electrical/mechanical systems
• Experience developing technical documentation, test procedures, SOPs, or installation standards
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or equivalent electrical safety certification
• PLC/Controls training or manufacturer certifications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.)
• Data Center Operations, Commissioning, or Critical Facilities training/certification

Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000 base compensation depending on experience. Salary will be commensurate with an individual’s skills, training, years of experience, and in line with internal compensation bands.

Location: This position is based at our company headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with flexibility for occasional remote work.
